1. Acceptance

By using Crawl API ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Crawl API provides web scraping, screenshot, PDF generation, and content extraction APIs. You access the Service via API keys issued through your account.

3. Account & API Keys

  • You must provide a valid email to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Do not share them publicly.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your API keys.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Scrape websites in violation of their terms of service or robots.txt.
  • Collect personal data without consent or in violation of privacy laws.
  • Perform denial-of-service attacks or overload target websites.
  • Access content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
  • Resell the Service without our written permission.
  • Bypass rate limits or abuse the API in any way.

5. API Usage & Limits

  • Each API call counts as 1 request regardless of endpoint.
  • Free accounts receive 30 API calls. Paid plans receive a monthly allocation that resets each billing cycle.
  • Rate limits apply: 60 requests per minute per account.
  • Concurrent request limits vary by plan.
  • We may throttle or block excessive usage to protect the Service.

6. Payments & Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe.
  • Prices are in USD. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Data & Content

  • Screenshots and PDFs are uploaded to our CDN and are accessible via public URLs.
  • We do not claim ownership of the content you scrape or generate.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and use the content you scrape.
  • We may delete generated files (screenshots, PDFs) after 30 days.

8. Availability & Liability

  • The Service is provided "as is" with no uptime guarantees.
  • We are not liable for any damages resulting from use of the Service.
  • We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites you scrape.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, abusive usage, or any other reason. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
